OMII was built to race and provide exhilaration. A sailing regatta is the ultimate sailing experience because it gives you the opportunity of sailing a yacht and racing with other sea-passionate individuals into some of the most attractive destinations in the world. Sailing regattas have increased their popularity in the last few years, being a common choice for luxury yacht charter holidays. The sense of community and exciting atmosphere, together with the thrill of sailing, is an experience which will be remembered forever.

Sailing regattas are organized in almost every important port and there are plenty of people who enjoy racing on water. No matter if you are an experienced sailor, or you have never stepped onboard a sea vessel, you are still able to participate in these great races.

Regattas are also a great opportunity for groups of friends and coworkers to practice many team-building exercises. Among the most popular sailing regatta events recommended by our yacht charter are

1. The Antigua Sailing Week: it is the biggest regatta in the Caribbean. It lasts a week and some of the fastest and most impressive sailing yachts in the world participate to it to compete against each other;
2. St Maartens regatta is one of the fastest in the Caribbean, with outstanding routes as well as a round the island experience, coupled with 1st class music at the concerts and social events, it is very exciting.
3. St Barts is a destination alone and the racing regatta just tops everything, great social and jaw dropping island visiting and venues to live the high life
4. The BVI’s are one of the gems in the Caribbean and a must see island, with once again the regatta brings the whole island alive with energy
5. Grenada is the most southern island and you can either join us there or enjoy the 24hr exhilarating passage down from Antigua with OMII is based.

The Mediterranean regatta scene from June 2022 to late October will include:

1. Giraglia – a spirited regatta from San Remo to St Tropez, with inshore racing in and around the Gulf of Lion.
2. Copa Del Ray Regatta in Palma, Majorca. This is an ORC event filled with big waters and fast racing
3. Swan cup in Porto Cervo in Sardnia is the home of Nautor Swan racing and the centre for Swan yachts line OMII
4. Les Voile de St Tropez – This is the pearl of regatta’s in the med, with competition against some of he biggest and fastest yachts in the worls, a most memorable event
5. The season is finished off with the Middle Sea race in and around southern Italy, Sardinia and around, with big seas and fast competitive long distance racing
